A teaser trailer does what its name implies. It gives you just a small glimpse of the movie to "tease" you. Basically just gets you excited but doesn't give much info away. These usually come out several months to almost a year before the movie is due in theaters. A real trailer is released usually 2 or so months before the movie comes out. It is longer and it gives much more info regarding the plot and some of the big sceens in the movie. This is also the trailer that you will usually wind up seeing on television.
