Hmmm... yes. That
does kind of suck. And the other (pedestrian) traffic in drag mode is always the exact same way, so as long as you just get around and ahead of the pack (with proper shifting and nitro usage), and then move into a certain lane at a certain time, winning is no problem (because the biggest problem in drag mode seems to be hitting stuff).
A damage model would also be nice, but if there was going to be one for the finished version, it probably would have been included in the demo.
The feeling of speed in this game is totally amazing though. Very nice and fast.
