Somebody call PETA

Quote:

In one of those only-in-Alaska stories that will shock even the sourest of sourdoughs, a trophy-sized bull moose was accidentally strung up in a power line under construction to the Teck Pogo gold mine southeast of Fairbanks. The moose apparently got its antlers tangled in electrical wire before workers farther down the line pulled the line tight about two weeks ago.

These guys are screwed. Everyone knows PETA has WAY too much time and money on it's hands.

I'm surprised they haven't come after me yet about Petz abuse.

Re: Somebody call PETA

Now it raises some questions...

How long was the moose up there?
And with no food, how did he survive?
What was the moose doing there in the first place?

Re: Somebody call PETA

Is the moose still up there? Is it still alive?

That must've hurt it's head. :(

Yeah GM, I'm sure they just left him...

The moose was alive when it was lowered to the ground but was later killed when officials from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game decided against tranquilizing it to remove the wires because they were worried the moose, already stressed, would die and the meat would not be salvageable as a result of the drugs.
What heck! All the people care about is using the moose for food. They should've tried to save it knowing there was a chance it would die instead of thinking, "Well, we shouldn't spoil the meat, let's kill it."

Humans, only thinking of themselves. :shakehead Just for that, I think I'm going to encourage teenagers not to vote. That should balance things out.

What else is the damn thing good for? Getting stuck in power lines? Come on, even the lowest of animals must be shaking their heads. Let this be a lesson to other moose, don't mess with your God's electricity.

Read the statement you quoted again and think it out.

How do you accidentally string up a giant bull moose by its antelrs from power lines?

1) How did It get up there?
2) Why?
3) Who cares, its a f****** moose!

Do you know how many of them are in Alaska, Yukon, NWT and the Interior of BC? It seems like they have a friggin abundance of them. 1 Moose wont be a tragedy. Millions would be.

If you read about it, you would know. He got his horns tangled up in the wire and when they pulled it tight at the end of the wire it got raised up.

I wonder if they were able to notice the extra weight when they were tightening it. Maybe they just had a machine do it automatically, but still...

Do you know how many Moose are in the rest of Canada? :p
Lots.

And who cares, moose are only good for one thing: eating.

Someone should just tell PETA to shut the hell up.

Before you ask a question in this thread, ask yourself this question. "Did I read the whole article?"
