Gmail Filesystem

That program (for Windows) will allow you to use your GMail account as a web based hard drive. Any file under 5MB uses the correct space - but after 5MB the file will take up 10MB. So something 7MB on your hard drive will take up 10MB of Gmail space. If Gmail ever supports files larger than 10MB then it will continually use the next increment of 5MB space. I got this Windows version off of a torrent site and couldn't find anything but Linux versions online so I just hosted it on my website. |
Re: Gmail Filesystem
This is great thatmariolover, thanks for hosting it for us to download too. I'm trying it right now, I'll leave postive feedback when I'm done. :)

Re: Gmail Filesystem
Dammit. It treats the files like attatchments - since the max attatchment size is currently 10MB the files can't be larger than that. I guess if you need to store large files you'll have to compress them into split archives every 10MB.
Still, it's cool. |
