Thinking about importing
 

So I just got this idea of importing the DS. I mean, first quarter 2005, that could be januari 1, but also march 31.
I've been through these things before, before we get the new game or system, it's MONTHS old elsewhere.

I hope the DS is region-free like all the gameboys. My dad got us an AGB from Japan and it works with all the games here, simply because there's no difference in hardware.

The software might be a problem... if PictoChat doesn't work because of the language differences or something.... I won't do it.

What do you think??

with the chat thing, dont you just write with a pen on the screen? so just dont write in japanese and you'd be fine. :p or just look over and actually talk to the person next to you instead of sending him a 2 word message. lol


You're problem would be in the systems menu's because it does other things instead of just plugging a game in. all the menu systems and stuff would be in another language, unless it has language settings to change.

You should import the US one, since it comes out before the Japanese one...

Yeah I'd import the US version. But with GB games, you can't link games with different languages. Like Pokémon, you'll never be able to trade with a Japanese or me. :unsure:

If PictoChat has the same problem, I'm not buying......
Ór..... :devil: I could import it, have fun with it and then sell it a few weeks before the EU one comes out. :D

Yeah, if the US and/or Japanese version isn't compatible with the EU one, I want the EU one than. .....:)?

I don't know, if you wait the later ones may have a better screen or something.
