The Butterfly Effect
Ok perhaps this is old news for you, but I saw this movie yesterday in cinema.
 Sooooo lovable!!! It was a great movie. The Punk'd guy played pretty good. :D I heard that the USA had a different ending than EU... *SPOILER* In the end, he goes back to the first time he met Kayleigh, tells her to stay away and that's it. When they're 28 or something, they see eachother walking on the street, but they walk on. *END OF SPOILER* Is that different from your version?? I like how they show that every decision we make, changes what we AND others will become. |
Re: The Butterfly Effect
Thats the original theatrical version. The one released on DVD has an alternate ending. If you want to know, I can either PM ya or spoil it for people who havent seen it

Re: The Butterfly Effect
I loved that movie. Even though I rented the DVD, I still didnt watch the alternate ending. I know what it is though.

Re: The Butterfly Effect
And by the way, I hate the alternate ending. I liked the original one alot better.

Re: The Butterfly Effect
Is it a movie worth renting?
|
Re: The Butterfly Effect
Yes, its worth a rent. Critics said its a bad attempt at Ashton going serious in a movie. I liked the movie for its big twists all of a sudden and whatnot.

But WAS the acting bad? I mean, set aside the "kelso" persona, and stuff, but was the overall acting by him good or bad? |

Only once was he being funny (in the rollchair, being a smart ass). I loved it. |
Re: The Butterfly Effect
I watched it at a friends house about a week ago. It was awesome. :D
We all enjoyed it immensley, and I even designed one of my political cartoons over it. My friends and I even have this inside joke now where if anything bad is about to happen one of us is like "we'll change it later." I think the acting was fabulous. There were no real flaws in the movie, and it was a great psychological thriller. It really really makes you think about things. I'd like to take this opportunity to explain my cartoon, in all of it's deep glory: ![]() *spoilers* If you've seen the movie, you know that he has many many "blackouts" through the course of his life, and he begins to write in a journal to help his memory, and he later uses these journal entries to go back and try to fix things. In my cartoon, I am depicting bush as having the same problem, only his entire term has been like one big "black out". Ironically, he isnt writting about the hardships of the economy, or anything about his "black out". He is rather writing about what he has been doing: acting like a monkey and choking on preztels. :D *end spoiler And yeah GM, you should go out and rent it right away. Go now! |
Re: The Butterfly Effect
....... :hmm:
Let's just say that I've read better political cartoons. :D |
Re: The Butterfly Effect
I bunch of guys talked about it non-stop at work for several days. All this talk made me rent it, and damn im glad that I did. Very underrated, it was a great movie. The directors cut ending is just downright freaky. Im not sure which I like better, but if you just want something that will freak you out, watch the Directors Cut ending...
