New RE shots. Changes to the second floor hallway.
 

lookies... the shot taken originally waaaay back in septemba...



and now one released today...



Still looks nice... as you can see the made the main hall a bit more lit up than before... but also, in the very old trailer there was a storm... y'know lightning flash bang bang for neat lighting effects (except the characters and other real-time things didn't seem to be effected)... but I havn't seen it in any of the movies since then :confused: (although I havn't seen ALL the movies)... do you guys think there will be a storm in the final version?

And oh yeah, I was also wondering... did capcom confirm that there's a NEW forest area in RE? Because after seeing this screenshot...



I remember that you get a call over the radio in the COURTYARD... I think like right when you come out of the mansion, and again after you get done in the guard house...

So maybe the "new" forest level is actually just the redesigned courtyard area? Or maybe they decided to get rid of a fenced in courtyard and just turn it into paths through the woods and stuff? :confused:

So does anybody know if Capcom said that this forest level is NEW?

Nice redesign, not too much of a difference. Just a little turn in the stairs.

It also looks like you can run around on the far side, above the front door of the mansion. But more importantly, the single door was never there before. the double door led to the room above the dining room, the single door wasn't there.

Come to think of it, you never go back into that area at all. So whoever designed this mansion left a huge space just empty.

Personally, I think the original hallway shot looks better. More photo-realistic, in my opinion.

Even without the haze, I don't think the second (newer) pic would look quite as real.

Yeah I know that's the forest area, and I guess that screenshot of Chris with the radio doesn't show too much, but it's outside and there's a tree there... along with a wall... Yep... but I dunno...

Oh yeah and just for the hey of things...



the areas in the blue circles are new areas... :p and that's just on the first floor... We already noticed at least one thing on the second floor (the extra door in the main hallway)... And then of course there's everything outside of the mansion they could add stuff too, along with this new forest area (if it does turn out to be a new forest area and not just a remodeled courtyard *cough* :D)...

Along with re-arranged items and some storyline changes (Like richard just being unconcious)...

Along with me getting a gamecube BEFORE RE comes out instead of after... I want RE NOW... NOW NOW NOW :baby:

Edit: Oh yeah and also something I forgot to mention in that little conversation, Gekko... the entrance to the basement... y'know in the hallway where kenneth is, there's usually a door that leads to the basement right next to the door that leads to the piano room... but now it looks like the hallway just turns and then there are stairs there... no locked door... does this mean you can get into the basement from the get-go instead of having to wait until you're pretty much done doing stuff in the mansion :confused: hmm...

I don't think the second one is newer. Capcom USA just released some screens on RE (old ones, but new on the USA press page). It is just like the one on top, just has the colors looking a little better.

I don't think that grey look is the real deal.

Well I think the weather will change so sometimes there will be a storm for dramatic effect and then other times it will be nice and quiet, were you can here your footsteps and hear the zombies moan. UHhhhhhhhhh......Chrissssssss.


errrrrr Right :unsure: Well I just want to play this game, yup yup....along with ED and probadly SFA...now the question is should I wait till I go to the States to buy em? Cause right now all I have is SSBM, Wave Race and Pikmin. :D

Must be very scattered storms, cuz the game really doesn't last very long ;)

It would be kinda neat if they made it that way though... like between certain parts it will be storming... but meh I dunno :burger:
