Wow....very.....informative.

Lol, j/k.

I heard that the tentacles are the best CG in the whole movie, and i heard that it sometimes even looks pretty damn real.

Confirmation? or....anti-Conformation?

Dr Octo's "tentacles" are pretty damn nice looking. They really kept the sense that they are really attached to him.

And I can't get too informative because then I would be giving away alot of stuff about the movie. Just see it. There's many surprises in the movie you'll like.

I saw an early showing, it was a great movie. So much better than the first. You really do feel for Peter throughout most of the movie.

One note on CG, maybe it was just me, but was Spiderman a whole lot more buff as CGI then when Tobey was on the costume. Maybe it was my mind playing tricks, but it seemed like that.

Well, wait for more responses to talk about the movie.

I disliked the first movie so I have low expectations for this one and I hope to be pleasantly surprised. I don't even think I'll go and see it unless my friends are going anyway so I'll just tag along.

Re: Spiderman 2 (Spoiler Free)

Well, I was thinking and here are some minor nitpicks, which I will try and keep spoiler free.. well really one..

They never explain why Peter doesn't live with Harry anymore or for that matter why they gave up the apartment. I mean I would figure it's the tension between the two.

And on the matter of housing, why ddn't Peter move back in with Aunt May? He coul od helped her pay the mortage and not worry about his own rent. The excuse could be made that it's too far from his school. but he goes to apartment at night on his scooter bike, so it can't be that far from his apartment.

And a bit of clarification as the movies reviews always make it seem like the movie takes place 2 years after the end of Spiderman 1, but it actually takes places 2 years after the first events of Spiderman, so if time is to be considered Peter is only a college sophmore. Which is onyl brought uopp because if it took place 2 years after the end of the first movie, he would be a junior and well all that time he aged without us knowing would be weird.

I think somewere in the movie they say something about it being two years after the first movie. He might not have enough credits to be a junior.

all and all its a good movie!!!!! :D

Well to be fair that's where I got the reference. Aunt May said at the beginning of the movie during the party that it would be "2 years in exactly a month from when we lost Ben"

So it takes place two years after the beginning of the movie, not the end. As far as I can pick up in the first movie, that is a pretty big gap (assuming party graduates in May/June), and it ended in Nov.

THE ARMY OF DARKNESS SCENE!!1!!!21p!

Ahahaha, I laughed my ass off at that scene!

If you don't know, it's the scene in the emergency room when they try to remove the tentacles.. Hahahah, the chainsaw...

I wasn't going to see the movie, but I got asked to go and I'm damn glad. I liked it much much better than the first, and I still liked the first.

If I'm correct, Raimi directed this movie and he's the same who did the Evil Dead movies.

OH! Bruce Campbell was a riot, too.. :D

Yeah, it's the same dude who directs both. I think they gave him 3 years to do Spiderman 3 so he can work on something else in it's time.

Anyhow, I'm trying to keep this spoiler free, but keep wanting to talk about the movie, go fig.

I don't know how many of you follow the Spiderman MTV anaimted series from last summer. I wasn't a big fan saw like 3 or 4 episodes thought it was a decent show. Brought the season set (13 episodes only 25 bucks wasn't a bad deal and wanted to see the other 10 episodes, as well all episodes feature commentary).

The point of it, much of the Harry/MJ/Peter relationship in the movie is pretty much on point with episodes in the series.

Some that I can think of off hand, (warming will have some minor spoilers)

-The Peter/MJ's performance is taken from an episode, where MJ has a play and Peter sayts he wants to attend. Of course, his dual identity as spiderman doesn't cause that to happen. He tries again, but the FBI pick him up (long story) and well MJ gets pissed at him and stuff. He finally does make it to a performance. (As a side note, like in the movie, he gets close to the building, but is stopped for something or by someone)

-Spiderman/Harry, where Harry is rescued by Spiderman, he is somewhat happy, but then gets pissed because the man who killed his father rescued him and tries to act all tough.

-MJ/Harry complaining they never see Peter, and he can't explain why.

Of course, the MTV show was supposed to take place in between Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 2, but apparently only the cartoon makers knew that as some elements (most) aren't touched on in the movie or contradict the show.

Wait a min, you remember they lost been well before the graduation and so that would put them, Ummm.... Ummm.... At about the right time.
