Silent Hill 4: The Room

Anyone excited for the release of this game? I know I am :P The North American release date is September 7th. This chapter in the series is supposed to have swifter battle controls and easier controling over all.

For those who don't know what the game is about, it's about an apartment. Henry Townshed wakes up in his apartment and finds himself locked in it. After 5 days, he finds a hole in his bathroom, and that leads him to a whole new world. The game includes ghosts or "victims". These enemies cannot be killed (after all, they are dead)

I'm greatly interested in the storylines, and this game supposedly has the largest amount of characters in any of the past 3.

Another plus is the OST. Silent Hill has always had amazing music, I recommend people to download SH2, 3, and 4's OST's.
So anyone gonna buy the game?

Below is the US Box Art

I shall buy it of course.. The soundtrack is included again, right? I hope it's better than the last one... With the exception of a few tracks, It sounds like music for creepy ghetto black guys who are into horror...

I wish 1 and 2 came with their soundtracks :(

you wear panties? oh well silent hill is a good series, the only problem with it is the infamous "noise affect" where everything looks staticy. The stupid thing was in the second one, if you beat the game you got the reward of turning it off and seeing the game through the eyes of someone that doesn't have gonherea on their retinas, and on the third one you didn't even need to beat the game to turn it off.

Yeah, the game looks amazing without the static.

Yeah looks great. The game has gotten mixed reviews in Japan.

Famitsu scores: 9,8,8,8 = 33/40 I think thats the highest score a SH game has gotten from them.

Here's some import reviews. It seems either people loved it, or hated it, keeping in mind that this game is quite a bit different than the last three. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/review/919554.html

*Leans head towards you and narrows eyes*

Possibly....... :hmm:

Anyway, hopefully the noise affect isn't incorporated into this one.....

The radio and the flashlight are a thing of the past. They are not in this game.
