But I think this buyout will directly affect the industry in some way.

This is good news... Sega can add their knowledge to the making of a new Guilty Gear which will feature Sonic as a hidden character

Bad news. Because Sammy has always been talking about making more pachinko machines rather then games so I dont see good in the merger.

And why did sega have to sell to Sammy? There are tons more companies that are better to buyout sega then sammy.

I was under the impression that it was a hostile takeover. 78% of the shares.. holy crap. That is a LOT. Even after their previous stake.
