Stephen Kent's USA Today article included an authentic image of the DS- not a mockup, after all...

USA Today published an article by Stephen Kent in which a picture of the Nintendo Dual Screen was printed. Thought by many earlier today to be a mere mockup or prototype version of the new Nintendo handheld, Gamecube Advanced is now able to confirm that this image is in fact authentic. A development source familiar to related events confirmed for GCA staffers this morning in Los Angeles that this image is the real deal, and represents the console that will be shown by Nintendo in the next few hours.

so that one with the USA today is real

Looks bland and sh*tty. Has no sexiness to it.

I think when mainstreamers see the PSP and the DS, they are gonna choose PSP because it looks better.

No, it's not a battle between DS and PSP, because when GBA 2 comes, it'll own them both. ;)

Anyways, eh, I'm really not suprised this was official. It still looks kind of good. Now get ads like those European ones, for everywhere this time!

I never said its a battle between PSP and DS. I'm just saying the mainstreamers see's them 2, you know what he's gonna go after (considering he doesnt know who made what)

The "beauty" battle, or so you described. The GBA2 will probably look sleeker than both of them.

Shaped like a rectangle, eh? Is the going to be as comfortable to hold as saaay an NES controller, i.e. not very comfortable at all? :sneaky:

I think the two screen thing could be neat if the bottom one is a touch-screen and you can touch the various things and it will give you more information... like in Mario Kart, touch another person's name and it will give you their view on that screen... Touch it again to go back to the map screen...

Otherwise all it's doing in that picture is reducing the clutter on screen... But that's just one game... And just an example, not a real game... But I bet if they release a Mario Kart game on DS that's what they'll do :sneaky:

Gameboy was Ugly, Gameboy advance was ugly... the SP is the same general shape as the GB, but it folds (Which makes a huge difference, though)... And the DS looks like that...

Yep, Nintendo sure is pretty stylin', I'd assume that a system I've never seen before is going to look better than every other handheld :sneaky:

judging by every game boy ever made..... No, i highly doubt GBA2 will look sleeker then any. theres never been a really sleek GameBoy. they all been boxy and boring except for the first GBA model which looked "decent".

I don't think beauty is going to be the selling point for most people. I would figure that the name "Nintendo" is going to attract more people when GBA2 comes out.
