I voted for "MR" because no Vulcan, no matter what his credentioals, bottle feeds a baby.

He is obviously titled Mr.Spock due to the fact that the crew of the starship had Dr. Leonard McCoy their Medical officer. Having both Dr.Spock with no certain credentials for that title and having Dr.McCoy would ensue confusion and extra needs for explainations through out various storylines to back that title for the Vulcan crew member. Keeping it simple was the best route for the story and Roddenberry's vision. Who by the way is a Texan!
