GameTavern - Create-a-Company Contest

WARNING: This thread is first come, first serve

this isn't the contest, but replying to this thread puts you into a contest... this is simply the profile stage.

In your Company Profile you must:
1. Make up the name of your gaming company
2. Pick one first Party franchise to be made by your company (you can chose it from any first party games from Sony Microsoft or Nintendo)
3. Pick 2 third party games to be exclusive to your company (you can chose from any third party games on any system)

Example Profile:

Company Name: Pretendo
Exclusive 1st party game: Perfect Dark
Exclusive 3rd Party games: Madden Series, Crash Bandicoot series

What's going to happen in the future:

4 companies will randomly chosen to compate in a Console war...

These companies will design a console from the ground up, NO aspects of the console will be left out, but you will have to chose from priced lists provided by me. The console makers will also be responeable for marketing strategys and signing second and third parties.

Every other company will become independent, the console makers can purchase thier services as a second or third party... of course second parities cost a lot more, and as a third party, there will be a lot that goes into you deciding which console to develop for.

Plus, independent companies will have to pay for how many workers they want, and how much time they want to put into developing certain games, AND how they are going to market the games in question.

This compatition will become deep, but remember, the ultimate goal is to make your console win a war... one war win is 1000 dblns in your pocket. But making money as a company is also important, because third parties can come up and make consoles of there own in the future, and the less loan money you have to get, the better your chances to financially sucseed.

I will release ALL of the info on the competition in a few days.

Moderators and all Members may compete (even though Moderators won't get anything be making dblns)

So make your profiles fast before all the great games are taken.

(remember, having controll over a genre of games nobody picks will make you money in the end, and as the wars progress, how you market and develop a game will be more important than the name of the series, but I still suggest you steal the big franchises first :D)
