And anyway, in my shool's library, there's a copy of the 4th album available for listening on turntables. I honestly thought about doing it before, but thought it was too risky. You could damage the needle, the record, and the turntable. Plus, I couldn't possibly think of spinning a record for more than a minute at a steady rate. My wrists would just crack.

Yeah, it souds like you hear the word Satan a couple times. Nothing to take seriously though, just one of those weird coincidences.

All this crap started because Jimmy Page was fascinated with the occult and studied Aliester Crowley, who was a known figure in the occult world (but ultimately just a rich, spoiled dabbler).

Listen, there are no hidden messages of satanic verses in Led Zeppelin's music. They don't exist except for in the minds of paranoid bible beating conspiracy theorists. I don't expect these rumors to ever cease, thouh, as it is far to easy to manipulate the sounds of lyrics being sung backwards into what you want them to say.

well, I recorded the MP3 onto audio tape backwarsd, and swore i heard "satan", and "beelzebub" in the clip, but it was most likely just me hearing things.

it's such a good song, I couldn't care less what the lyrics were forwards or backwards...although the forward lyrics are generally fantastic :p

I actually got a good laugh out of this. I don't believe Led Zeppelin to be satanic in any way. But I found this amusing none the less.

YOU KNOW THEY PLAY IT THE CORRECT WAY FOR A REASON. If we all started worshipping this "Satan" rogue, then maybe we WOULD play all our music backwards. Or something.

Well if you're looking to hear Satan, then you're going to hear Satan.

I mean, the guy obviously sets you up to listen for it. And then you run into something that sounds remotely like it and you're like, 'OMG! THERE IT IS!'

Eck. Things like this make me sick. This and trying to predict the future with the Bible. They just freakin bug the Hell right out of me.

I think it is funny to listen for that kind of stuff. But when you consider that there are actually people who believe that the music is going to make us all start worshipping satan through subliminal messages, its just crazy. Anyway, its still funny...

And it's always funny how people usually come up with different words listening to the same thing backwards.

I'm just surprised you didn't also come up with a clip of Hotel California with its lyrics forwards and backwards.
