I regret to inform you

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend never did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

Goodbye Norma Jean
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something as more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

Buried at the hospital? What in the world? It says he died at the hospital. Preparations to have a funeral are underway...

Well, if this is true, it's very, very sad. My condolonces to the person who posted this here, as you've obviously lost someone close to you.

I'm sorry to hear that. We didn't get to know him much around here, as he barely posted.

Well, you'd have to be a sick and disturbed person to lie about something like this, and I'd like to believe that most people aren't sick and disturbed.

I've seen about 10 "death" hoaxes. What I've come to learn is to treat it as true and to not bitch. It saves effort for everyone. Then there's no fuss about it. It's really sad when these sad events are true-- You're either saying your condolences, or you're out of it-- but it's really painful to have a family member or close friend go through pages and pages of bitching to find the true-hearted individuals.

In basic, don't act "astute." If you complain, the "hoaxer" will only be more delighted.

I know nothing of Ice Gekko.

This post would be like if someone on the street told me "Hey, my brother just died. Are you sad?"

I can't give much emotion to Ice Gekko other than that which I'd give to a stranger... it was a death, I feel no emotion for it.

However, I would wish the best to recovery, as you (or even the stranger) wanted to reach out.

If this is not the response you wanted from me, then you're posting at the wrong forum.
