Okay I've got two questions, I'm going to be heading overseas soon. And I wasn't sure about this what is a good laptop brand in your opinion and if anyone could find information on satellite modems would be greatly appreciated :)

Apple laptops are great but I don't know what your needs are. Are you looking for just a communication tool so you can e-mail and stuff?

Yeah and games, I'm not big on macs even though I do dial up tech support for them I'd much rather stick twoards a PC

I talked to a guy the other day he said hes been looking at laptops for 2 months and he said hp had the best deal

personally my pref would be...

Toshiba
Gateway
Dell


toshiba's are much more expensive tho. dells and gateway are fairly reliable and cheaper prices.

recommend strongly against a Celeron processor tho.

Edit. dont get an Hp, compaq or lower brands like that

ok that narrows down the laptop anyone have any ideas on the satellite service in afghanistan or iraq ?
