Madden > ESPN NFL in every aspect besides graphics imo... but you already knew that. ;)

Madden is the first football game ever that I could sit and play for hours without even havng to play in an acctual game. Sega better rip off owner's mode before I can place it in Madden's leauge.

SSX3 was great. There's a ton to do. O_O

My friend, Ed Vanance, worked on this game. Give him the props! He played one level for months! I give him my regards for not going insane.

Graphics:
ESPN>Madden

Gameplay:
Arguable (Madden players hate ESPN, and Vice Versa)

Presentation/Sound/Music:
Madden>ESPN

Franchise:
Madden>ESPN

Gameplay modes:
Madden>ESPN

Online play:
Arguable (Ps2 Madden greater, but Madden online on Ps2 vs ESPN NFL on Xbox I'd say arguable leaning toward ESPN because Xbox live is just better ;))

All I know is you won't find ESPN NFL football on a top 25 (or less) games of the year lists, and you won't see it winning any awards... Not a bad football game, but it hasn't reached Madden's level yet.

SSX3 edges out Madden 04...it added more to the series than Madden did this year
