Setting up BIOS pass for XP Pro
Ok, I pressed DEL to enter setup, but I'm not quite sure how I am suppose to make the password. There was one area where you can make a password, but it didn't say it was the BIOS pass, and once I made it, it doesn't do anything at all.
Advice is appreciated. |
Re: Setting up BIOS pass for XP Pro
Why do you need a Boot Password? Are you that determined to keep others from accessing your computer?

Theres also some neat toys you get can with that. one being a little thumb print scanner, and when it starts to boot you have to put your thumb on the pad and thats the only way it will load up. hehehe not exactly useful for most ppl. but neat none the less. |

I'm almost positive in when you boot up if you press f11 it should opt you for the password but I'll call my dad and double check he did it to me multiple times.. Damn bios password.. but there is a jumper setting to get around it :)

and on some computers you can get around the bios password by just taking the battery out of the motherboard and putting it back in. :p |
