New Religion
 

If you could start a new religion, what would be the fundemental beliefs... really, what would make your religion different from other religions, and most importantly, what would make people follow it... that is of course, the most important part... what do you promise people, or how do you scare people as many religions do, into following your religion?

It would be called the Thinking Religion. It has one and only one tenet: think for yourself. I would convert people by pointing out to them that their own religion most likely preaches the exact same thing in different forms.

Of course, this means that technically my religion wouldn't have followers since all the Thinkers would be doing their own thing and not necessarily agreeing with each other. But that's ok. I don't need worshippers. I'd just like the freedom to decide what I want to do.

The only problem is this religion would probably fail because people are too stupid to understand this simple point and stop believing anything that's said to them in a semi-authoritative manner. But let's not get caught up in little technicalities here.

I'd Jacolothism, meaning that a guy name Jake is supreme ruler, and is the greatest known thought, object, and pleasure ever existed.

And I'll take all the believers to a magical place where sheep weigh 5 trillion pounds.
