Overclocking
 

Okay I want to overclock my 2500+ barton to something other than that. I know for sure that I don't have to oc my ram with it.. I'm just curious what is a good fan to look for when overclocking an AMD processor. :)

Seth take off the side of your computer and just aim a normal fan at it that will work just fine.

you can turn it to a 3200(2.2Ghz) barton on stock cooling what the hell do you want to OC to like 2.5Ghz or something

Ooh jon but I can.. Hmm I have a 400mhz fsb on my computer and the 2500+ barton the only diffrence between my computer and his the brand of MB and the case.... Thats hard to do..

[edit] that and jon remember how we turned on the warning beep if it hit 56 degrees.. well it keeps beeping at random times.. ??

lol.. no I'm not doing what jonbo did.. r3t4r|) by drilling holes in my case I was however thinking of adding exhaust fans ect. to my case. that and I've ordered a new case. Because I'm selling mine to my cousin

If your processor is still oc'ed and its beeping at random times TURN DOWN THE PROCESSOR FSB. If it isn't, then oh well. And oh yeah, 1 case fan isn't enough.

But on the subject of oc'ing higher then 3200+, its almost useless. Why do you need all that speed? I really doubt your running processor heavy apps.

Go ahead and try to ruin your mobo/processor by outdoing Jeff/Hero2. I will laugh when it happens.

I'm not the one trying to outdo Jeff or anyone for that matter.

And my processor was going to go anyways. It's a 1ghz Athlon nonXP. My dad had used it long before I did. So it had its time.

And my makeshift case fan on top is a temporary thing. If I get the job, I will make it look better using a dremel and getting an actual grill to put on it.

Jon if they haven't called you yet you didn't get hired.. so I'm guessing you didn't get hired... That and I'm not trying to outdo jeff we have almost the exact same mobo and processor the only thing I'm doing is working on my computer. If I wanted to outdo someone I woud go buy the 64 on my buisness card...
