Jason1 02-16-2002 08:42 PM

It sounds strange, but im sure it will turn out to be one of the most fun and innovative things ever created. I cant wait to clean up some paint in 02:D

designated_GM3R 02-16-2002 08:46 PM

Sorry, I'm bad with paint.

Drunk Hobbit 02-16-2002 09:03 PM

Moyamoto? Never heard of him.

Damn, first a required painting class, now a game involving paint. Why can't they leave me alone?!

Crash 02-16-2002 09:37 PM

i bet it is not paint,

mark my words, it is part of the sky or trees or other stuff itself that is melting into this "paint" sorta goo.

you can see this PAINT in these screens... looks like a rainbow.

LoudHowardZERO 02-17-2002 01:54 AM

That Was A Water Gun!?!?!?

And Zelda's Eyes? Does he mean Links?

Angrist 02-17-2002 08:17 AM

Jurjen Tiersma is a really well respected Nintendo fan. He once wrote for the official Nintendo magazine (when we had one).

He's bold. Or is it bald? Anyway, he doesn't have hair.

BreakABone 02-17-2002 08:48 AM

Here is an updated version of his quote....

Quote:

On Zelda: "The rumors about a more realistic style of graphics on the internet are incorrect. The version that will be playable at E3 will be practically identical to the version we first showed you at Space World 2001. However, I have made some adjustments to Link's eyes."

"I find the discussions on the internet very interesting," he continued. "You've actually started experiencing the game - talking about videogames is also part of the gameplay these days. I won't show any more of this game, because you can only truly understand it once you play it. At E3, everyone will be able to play it, and gamers will be able to decide for themselves if they do or don't like it. I see it this way: if the game is interesting, you might start to value the graphics as well."

On Mario Sunshine: "I don't want to say much about it yet, only that that thing on his back is indeed sort of a water gun. The controls are actually largely based on Super Mario 64's. I'm only really showing this to prove that Mario's ready to go; he'll definitely be launched in Europe this year."

Joeiss 02-17-2002 10:37 AM

So, he didn't actually say anything about paint? Hmm... That was a bad first translation then.

azazela31 02-17-2002 10:53 AM

A water gun!!

That screams innovation!!
