rereleasing old systems
am i the only person who thinks it would be cool if they rereleased old video game systems?
|
Yes. You very well may be.
It would be good maybe for people who never had them, but there would be no money to be made. |
Re: rereleasing old systems
The only old system I want is a Sega Nomad
|
Re: Re: rereleasing old systems
I'd want a Nintendo all-in-one. :D
|
Reselling the same old systems would be a rather stupid marketing plan. The old systems can already be purchased (though it may be difficult). As well, the systems are outdated in technology... and if adjustments were made to the rereleases, then it just wouldn't be the same.
What they could do, however, is have massive remakes of games for the newer systems. I'm not talking about stupi 6 packs, I'm thinking more like 20 packs... with GOOD games (no pong, or crap like that...). |
Re: rereleasing old systems
i think they remade the sega genisis because my cousins have a little sega and its called the 3x or somthingits small though

As for "3x"... maybe you're thinking "32x", or something like that. That's a SEGA add-on. Pretty lousy, and probably another reason why SEGA went down... yeah, too many new consoles. Master System Game Gear Genesis Genesis II Genesis III Sega CD Sega 32x Sega Saturn Dreamcast And probably a few more... |

Re: Re: rereleasing old systems
They could just make the new gen systems have an attachment you could buy to play the old games.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: rereleasing old systems
What would be a great idea is to release systems as mods (computer programs) then sell each game as a disk for like 5 bucks a piece. But you would have to order then from Nintendo, Sega and so on.

They planned it ahead of time. |
The idea of an NES/SNES/N64 Hybrid is interesting to say the least. I'd honestly like to see them do a System that plays NES and SNES games with 4 Controller ports in the "Platinum Silver" color with a "Moderized" look. I'd buy it, many people who want classic games would and and in a niche market, it'd sell.
Also with all the GBA re-issues, they can probably do it for cheap, re-issue a few really good games in their orignal format with some sort of HD compatibility converter and you could enjoy your old games in a new way. Now if they couldn't do a reissue of the NES then maybe a "Virtual NES: 20th Annviersay Collectors Edition" would be nice with every NES Game ever made for about $70 spread across three GCN CD's with posters of the old NES Designs and a controolerl that feels mroe like the NES Controller, retro-stems would indeed be nice, if they could get the NES and SNES into one console it'd please alot of gamers who have broken SNES and don't want another hand-me0down system and considering that the NES Games are classics, it'd be like Video Game History of sorts, the console and reissued games could come with somethign stating what made them popuular, andd you could market to kids as well, in fact, Sony's beefin' up that Stupid PSX, Nintendo should put this ut against it $500 vs $70 classics vs. DVD Burning, it's a no brainer, I'd pay for a new fresh NES again witrh some enhancements and TMNT II FF I and the like on it, make it play SNES games as well and you've got a system that'l probably outsell the N64 as a THIRD RUN Console, now there's a disgusting thought the SNES doing bettter than the N64 on a second reissue, classics are classics, and I'd ahve my money down ASAP if they did this, good idea, they seem to be gathering Market Reseearch data on it in NP, I'd like to see something like this. |
they should rerelease NES and sell it for about $10 because its almost impossible to find NES these days.
