Draft/trade Predictions
 

Now, that the nhl draft is coming up, Jan 21, their are so many trades that are being talked about, like for instince, Florida's 1rst pick to bos for rolston and hilbert to obtain marc andre fleury, ect.

Philly are looking for a goalie, maybe Hacket or even Burke as a possibility. And like the bruins who haven't proved much at all this year, have had some rumours whistling through our ears. like Burke for round 1, 16th pick. Even so Samsonov has come up in trade talk.

what have you heard about these trades are they true? and what are some other rumours?

I expect NYR to make the most deals. A lot of stars are going to be traded out of that franchise for new and different talent.

Calgary's going to get a good pick.

I didn't get here in time for predictions, but anyhoo...

Trading for the number 1 draft pick was the best thing Pittsburgh has done in two years. Marc-Andre Fleury could be the next Roy/Brodeur as far as we know, or the next Giguere if Giguere is gonna be the next Roy/Brodeur.

I prediect that Pittsburg will take it. lol.. Good draft, I watched the first round.. Good stuff.

ya but what makes you think that he'll become another roy/brodeur. you know how many 1rst picks turn out not that great and picks from 100's 200' become very good. no offence he is good, but i don't think he'll make a great impact for the first 3 years in the nhl.
What should pittsburg have done? they should have got a good defenceman and what did florida get. 3 pick and a young player that has lots to prove.

Yes, a lot of people are comparing Fleury to Roy and Brodeur, but you know what? They have good reasons to. This kid is amazing. Sure, he won't play in the NHL for 2-3 years, because he still has to mature and get some more experience under his hands. But I'll tell you, when he comes to the NHL, I can see nothing but good things if he keeps up the way he plays (and wears HUGE pads, of course. lol).
