Great ad for the GBA SP...
My word, Nintendo can't stop making brilliant ads in Europe can they?
This one is awsome :D ![]() |
Oh baby... lol
|
Now only does it make me want a GBA SP, but it gave me a hard-on too! :D ;)
|
Well, that ad is pretty sweet, now if Nintendo could do something like that for their other console.. what is it called again..
And GameMaster, that is pretty sick, you can barely see the girl... |
Didnt they have a SMS ad with a [near]naked chick in the Japanese playboy?

It's not like she raised a tent in my pants. ;) |
That looks like Angelina Jolie.
|
Sweet. A naked woman that has nothing to do with the GBA SP... Great ad...
So wait what's so great about the ad again? |
Naked chicks = $$$
|
europeans are always more relaxed about sex / nudity
and more crazy about violence which i think is better American Mother: "OH NO I DON'T WANT MY LITTLE TIMMY SEEING THE NATURAL HUMAN BODY... now here's $8 so you can go to the theatre and watch people's limbs being torn off" you should see their breath mint ads in europe |
More ads of theirs:
Gameboy not just for boys anymore: ![]() A little something for the ladies: ![]() more: http://www.nintendo-europe.com/gameb...allpaper11.jpg http://www.nintendo-europe.com/gameb...wallpaper9.jpg http://www.nintendo-europe.com/gameb...allpaper13.jpg http://www.nintendo-europe.com/gameb...wallpaper8.jpg http://www.nintendo-europe.com/gameb...wallpaper4.jpg There are more, but I GTG. |
heh, those are pretty funny. I think with these ads and the SP's look, adult people will look at the SP now since it looks more "modern"

I think the ads in the USA for Nintendo's products are HORRIBLE comapared to the Actual Product (See SMS again) which isn't good if you want to SELL something! The ad has to catch your eye, in some "Bizzare" sort of "I WANT THAT!!!" yelling liek a little kid, way of behavoir to amke you buyt the stuf and put $$$ in Nintendo's pocket. Now if I buy a Playboy and there's a naked Japanese chick holding a GCN, I'm PRETTY SUTRE I'm gonna be in the store the next day buying a GCN, weather I'm a Nintendp fan or not. Ditto on the GBA SP, if Nintendo wants to reach a "Mature" Audiance they need to use "(im)Mature" marketing techniques, such as the Playboy ads and the Semi-Nude woman holding the GBA SP. Also, since guys think about sex more than anything else (yers this is a proven fact, weather we want to admit it or not), if Nintendo wants to have us thinking about THEM as much, they need to advertise liked everybody else does, I'd be willing to bet a US Playboy magazine might have a Microsoft ad in it, but I'd prefer the japanese one, if only for the Nintendo ad. My point is this, if you're tryignt o sell something the ad has to hook the "Sucker" your're trying to sell something too, if the "sucker" wants washboard abs and you're selling excersie equipment, you'd better be adverstising washboard abs or your excerise machine isn't going to sell. If the "Sucker" wants videogames, they're going to need a "catchy" ad of some kind that keeps screaming "NINTNEDO!!" to sell Nintendo stuff. People seem to buy XBox games like "dead orAlive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball" because every ad for ti shows "Bouncing Boobs", now I'm not sayingI want 500 ads with "Bouncing Boobs" in them, but that subtle sort of ad Nintendo is using in Eurpoe would probably fair better in the USA in more "Mature" magazines, while the stuff we're currently seeing would work well for the younger market. Notice how IBM always has a "cute chick" on their stuff? it ain't becuiase the "Cute Chick" buys IBM, it's because any guy wanting a PC is gonan look at IMB's "Cute Chick" and buy their stuff, Nintendo should find a way to use this strategy as well. There's also the fact that in the US, as Deathshand said, people aare fine with Violance, whiel the rest of the world isn't but is fine with Nudity and Sex, something the USA tries to hide. Personally if I ahd kids and the choice was showing them a Human's "Private Parts" or "Human Remains" after an explosion, I'd opt for the "Private Parts" and any form of Nudity. I actually think that if the US made less of a federal case about Sex, and more of a Federal Case about Gun Control the country would eb nicer but that's a different debate for anotyer day. These are ncie Pics though, and I think Nintendo is doing the smarter thing in Eurpoe, advertising with what we already know works, and commericals that make some sense, even if not a whole lot. There is one USA "Nintendo" commercial I like, and that's the "Zelda" commerical with the cloaked girl as Zelda that looks like it was filmed in New Zealand in the same location as LOTR after their camera crew left, in fact this ad has made it so Kitana and I are seriously thinking Nintendo should take TOoT storyline and do a Live-Action Zelda movie, if they could pull that off and make it a hit (I'd keep Shiggy as the Director and Writer if only for the fact that the movie wouldnt be a botched attempt, btu rather, a real effort based on the game), I'm sure the big "N" would have more money than ever before and we might see more GBA games and sleeker consoles. Anyway, I want to know what kind of Ads we're goingto see in the mainstream for the GBA SP in the USA, since it looks so mature almost like a small laptop or a cell-phone I'd like to see ads for it on the Sci-Fi channel and in "Tech" Magazines, maybe even something like CGW who's currently kissing M$'s @$$ about the XBox although in all fairness they suck up to Nintendo for the GBA as it is in portables, so they might as well run a few ds for the GBA SP and help the big "N" out a bit more. |

I think the point the ad is trying to make is that the GBA SP has a light in the screen. And the woman, well, haven't you ever seen one with a vanity mirror? Well, guess what else looks like one...... |
I must be high on PSO, because I could have sworn I posted this before he did.
