Wait a sec... Nintendo owns the Mariners? WTF?
http://planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=3901
See? Nintendo can keep things under the table well. I had no effing clue they had stake in them... :eek: Well, it's good to see such a wonderful old man enjoying his retiration. Bastard. Owns a baseball team and never tells us. :rolleyes: |
Dude, this is WAAAAAAYYYYY Old. Thatīs why ken Grifey (sp?) jr.īs games were exclusive to Nintendo for much time. You need to do some more homework. I have known that for years.
Yeah, when Griffy left Seattle, they stopped making those games because they didn't have the rights to him anymore.
Ok, yeah, somebody reminded me at my other board.. I guess I kind of forgot to edit this post. ^_^;;;;
Someone's out of the loop ;)
Everybody knows he owns it. Howard Lincoln even left to work for the team. Theres a gamecube billboard behind homeplate. They actually saved the mariners from going to Tampa Bay in 1992.
hmmm..you think they'd pounce on the opportunity to make a franchise out of Ichiro Suzuki.:unsure:
Yeah, but they havent. They have used him in ads in japan cause thats one of the biggest reasons they like baseball over there.
