What Dutch artists do you know (come in and be surprised)
 

It's not that I like Holland so much and that I want to brag about it... But there are some Dutch groups that make or have made some popular English music. I'll post a list of the ones I know, see how many of them you know! :)

• Anouk (obvious, she lives in the states now...)
• Kane (keep my head down, so glad you made it, rain down on me, let it be,...)
• Venga Boys (up and down, ibiza, want you in my room,...)
• T-Spoon (s*x on the beach,...)
• Within Temptation (ice queen, mother earth,...)
• Sita (happy,...)
• Total Touch (somebody else's lover, touch me there, I'll say goodbye)
• 2 Unlimited (no limit, Mortal Kombat theme, twilight zone,...)
• 2 brothers on the 4th floor (dreams, never alone, fly,...)
• K-Otic (damn I think I love you, I surrender, falling,...)
• Krezip (I would stay, promise)
• DJ Jurgen and/or Alice Deejay (better off alone, want you back in my life, higher and higher)
• DJ Jean (the launch, love come home, lift me up)
• DJ Tiësto (lethal industry, suburban train)
• Barthezz (on the move, infected
• DJ Sammy (heaven, boys of summer)

And here are some Belgium groups, our lovely and funny neighbours: :D

• K's Choice (everything for free, not an addict)
• Milk inc (land of the living, walk on water)
• Silver (turn the tide, in your eyes)

Some might not have broken through yet (IF they ever will) in the States, think Within Temptation and K-Otic. You may have never heard of T-Spoon, they're not that big here. And Krezip... they had those 2 hits, not much more.

Oh yeah, those latter are DJs, they make trance music, dunno if it's hot there.

Edit: Come on, you gotta at least know 2 Unlimited or 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor! Especially Dreams and Not Alone are great!

And those DJs don't suck. Perhaps it's not your style, but they are good. Try 'on the move' from Barthezz. If you don't like it, your taste really differs from ours. :D

The only name I recognized is DJ Jean or whatever, because my brother has some songs in his folder with him. Still, I don't have a clue who any of those people are... so... :p

Hmmm... I've heard of most of them. Venga Boys.. Alice DeeJay.. yeah. My dad also went to Amsterdam a few years back and he actually met the guy who made that really popular Hockey song... I forget the name of it. But they used it a hell of a lot in the ninties. It's pretty cool. Most of you guys should know it.

I have heard of the Venga Boys..... But they are just plain terrible.

I know the Venga Boys, but I never thought of them being Dutch.

And a friend of mine told me that Bomfunk MC's is Belgian. I don't know though.
