Get your FreQ on - SCEA and Harmonix to take the music genre to a new level
Get your FreQ on...again
Amplitute for Playstation 2, the sequel to FreQuency, looks to deliver a satisfying musical/rhythm experience. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone not familiar with FreQuency should know it delivered a very unique, wonderful gaming experience. In a spectacular array of musical sight and sound, the gamer was to act as a DJ and create songs by beating levels as they follow the beat to real lisenced music. Amplitutde, the aptly named sequel, looks to take this concept and largely improve on it. A new look, with new graphical features, music and game modes (including online play via the PS2 network adapter) are much appreciated additions. The soundtrack includes music from Weezer, Garbage, a David Bowie remix, as well as mixes from well-known DJs. Amplitude has a release date listed as 'Spring 2003'. Believe me folks, you'll want to give this game a spin. ![]() IGN's NEW Hands-on Impressions ![]() |
