Well.....I did it!

I finished Eternal Darkness on GC. Loved it!

It's the most intruiging story I have ever seen for a game. From its contents, to the way it is portrayed......

Truly a masterpiece!

I see big things for Silicon Knights!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

ED was very dissapointing IMO. Way too boring and repetitve. I liked how the story was told, but the story itself wasn't all that great. Could have been much better.

What he said... although I don't think the game was way too boring... it was pretty fun (although the third time I played the game I was kinda dragging myself through it), but it was repetitive and I don't see what is so great about the story either... *shrugs*

meh, it was alright. good voice acting...

The game was pretty good now that you think of it.

9/10

Graphics: 8
Sound: 9
Gameplay: 9
Controls: 10
Story: 9 (For its genre) But I still think RE beats it in ever way. (Especially in story)

But yeah, the game is one of the best for the Cube at the moment.

I loved ED. Despite what others are saying, I loved the story, too bobcat. I like how each person had a completely different story and how it all intertwined by the end, with locations being the same but in different time periods, characters from the past making appearances, and stuff like that. I thought the overall story was kind of lacking, meaning I don't think they delved enough into who or what these gods are, why they do what they do, or into the character of Pious before he went crazy.

But the fact that each person has their own story and their own fun gameplay for me makes up for it.

I also liked how the magic is so intertwined with everything. The only other major complaint I had was that I didn't like that there weren't that many different enemies.

I want to say more but I gotta go.

I've finished it too. The one puzzle that got me stumped for about half an hour was that room with the 3 stone things with the symbols on them. You'd hit one, and it'd 'suck in' energy from the other 2, and a horror would appear. I was trying to bind the other two, make a huge brawl of monsters, everything. Then finally I thought I'd try to 'overload' it with the energy it's weak against. When the field finally disappeared, I thought "well, I guess it was kinda simple...". The other puzzle I got stuck at was the one with the black dude and that thing that's blocking a ladder in that room that's kinda central to the bridge and those steps down to the enchanted gladius. Took me a bit, but then I studied the symbols, and said "Doh!". So simple. Anyway, which colour should I get Pious to pick this time... red or green. I think it'd be strange having blue on my side all of a sudden, so I'll pick green.

Yeh. That's exactly what I wanted to say. To see how everything intertwined was done almost flawlessly. I got so into the game.

Yes the enemies were lacking in variety (reminds me of Capcom argh!), and it was repetitive (Capcom again argh!) , but the story itself and the way it was portrayed makes up for all that IMO. I kept on wanting to find out more and more. For once, the gameplay didn't bother so much me coz the story and it's portrayal was so convincing.
