For one, our house doesn't have a DVD player (except for the comps). Two, I think it's cool looking and it would be modded for worldwide compatibility for DVDs and Gamecube games. It's kinda of a lot though, $410 bidding or $488 buy it now. Think it's a worthy buy? I already have a Gamecube so maybe I should just buy a DVD player? Hmm...

You can get DVD players real cheap. They aren't in short supply. Go ahead, it won't hurt you. Unless you love imports, there's no real reason to get a foreign system.

Thanks for the advice. You're right. It would just be a waste of money, especially when I already have a perfectly good Gameucbe right now.

Yep buy a DVD player.
My dad wants to wait for the moment where DVD recorders are very cheap... but I don't want to wait for that so I'll propose that I'll buy the normal DVD player from him when he buys a recorder or something. For my room in this other city where I study. :)
