I Hate when people make up 'facts'.
read this article, by this anti-Gamecube guy. It seems as though he makes up all the information as he goes along, since nearly all the statistics given are false.

LOL
I couldn't care less about what this guy says.....I don't care who wins...I just everyone to survive.....the way I see it the more systems the more games :D Then all of us will benefit from it. :D But I did take some quotes from the guy. :D. ......................... Even Nintendo says "it's less powerful than the PS2." Here is an exact quote: "Instead of going for the highest possible performance, which does not contribute to software development, our idea was to create a developer-friendly next generation TV game machine that maintained above-standard capabilities." - Nintendo ____________________ ROTFLMAO that one was funny. Next one is ------------- The PlayStation brand alone has outsold the NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube unit sales combined ---------------------- I really don't know about this one....but it sounds wrong. Next one is _________ Sony shows up and says "Hey, I've got a better idea. How about I just make everything in the machine instead?" and designs a super console from the ground up. There is no way to compete with that short of doing the same. Nintendo would have to spend every penny they've got to match Sony's R&D and manufacturing facilities, so that isn't really an option. So go with Plan B, do enough to get by. ___________ LOL *rolls over laughing* ________ The hard facts: Nintendo claims the GameCube can do 12 million polygons a second peak performance. That's pretty nice. Sega claims that Virtua Fighter 4 runs at 63 million polygons a second on the PS2. That's where you have someone remind you that you're drooling. ________ LOL HAHHAHAHAHAHHAA _____ . The beauty that is Super Monkey Ball sits at the stores unloved, and for that I shed a tear. _____ Last time I checked Sega said that it sold quite well All in all some funny stuff |
What a dork. He uses enters in his text to get to the next line. It screws up the lay-out.

the guy made everything up in that article.
For instance, he said that at launch, less than 50% of Gamecube's were sold. That would mean that less than 350 000 were sold, but in actuallity, about 486 000 were sold. Unless the number 486000 is a smaller number than 350000, this guy is dead wrong. I'd say the funniest thing he says is that Playstation software has outsold all software by all other console. Is that a joke??? Also, the hardware sales he metioned are complete crap. Here's more bulls.hit: "Further, the PS2 is the fastest selling home console ever. It's past 22 million units sold worldwide, and it has only been outside of Japan for a year. The Genesis in it's glorious 6 year run only sold 21 million. The Dreamcast? 7 million before Sega pulled the plug on it." There are three things wrong with that paragraph. 1.He says PS2 has sold over 22 million unites worldwide even though it's only been outside of Japan for about a year. He fails to mention that most of 22 million sales ARE IN JAPAN!!! Only about 6.5 million of those 22 million are in north america. 2.Genesis only sold 21 million? Another lie. Genesis sold approximately 35 million, while SNES reached about 45. 3.This one isn't as bad, but he claims Dc only reached 7 million. Last time I checked, it was over 10, it oribably sold a couple since then. If I had to estimate, I'd say by the time DC is completely dead and stops being sold, it'll probably reach around 15 million which actually isn't all that bad. |
I'm till waiting for someone to write April's Fool at the end of the article...
