Is there a doctor in the house?
 

Ive had a very miserable last 5 days or so...it started one day after school, I came home, and just didnt feel good, laid down, had like almost a 100 fever, nothing major, I get these things sometimes, they usually only last maybe a day. But soon I start to get a horrible amount of flem in my throat, which forces me to cough every 5 minutes. It effects my breathing. I can taste it, its so horrible. It dosent hurt when I swallow, but I can always feel it down there. Ive tried eveything, my mom even called in to the doctor's office where she works to get me some medication. It was ammoxicillian and it hasnt done ****. My fever is pretty much gone(I think), but I still have the horrible throat. Its really pissing me off and it isnt showing any signs of going away. Im willing to try anything. Does anybody know any way to get rid of something like this?

Instead of just getting some medication you should have the doctor take a look at your throat and maybe do a strep test.

It might help if you got off the computer and got some rest....

If it dosent get better, im going to go in to the doctor on monday. But since my mom works at the doctor's office I can get certain medications without me actually seeing the doctor.

Gingerale and sherbert oughta do the trick.

Well, that's how I am when I have strep throat. I've gotten strep throat about 4 or 5 times now. I suggest that you don't take medications untill you know what you have, because you might think it's one thing, and take the wrong medication, and that might just make it worse....*shrugs*

you have a fever and its not even 100? 100 isnt even a feveer for me lol.

And it could be threap throat, how long does that normally last?

Well Jason, whenever myself or someone in the family is sick, we get sherbert and gingerale and even when I'm sick, it tastes good. And when you're sick, eating something that tastes good is a treat all in itself. :D

Stay in bed. Watch TV and read books. And if you can summon enough strength, take a shower. I usually feel better after doing so. Get well man.

When I got Strep throat, it usually only lasts 2-4 days, but the last time I got it, it lasted for about a week, or something.
