Rumors
Hello everyone.
I recently heard a couple of rumors from a friend of mine and was wondering if anyone here could verify them. 1. Nintendo has decided to follow Sega and become a software only company, making the Gamecube it's last console. 2. Nintendo is planning another price drop before Christmas. I haven't been able to find anything on either one of these rumors. #1 sounds a bit suspect to me but #2 seems rather reasonable. |
#1: Nintendo isn't going Software ONLY. They have just said they want to focus alot more on Software and not on Hardware (*cough* Sony).
#2: They might do a holiday drop for just that time period only, but a full blown price drop now is sorta pointless. I mean, look at the sales of Mario. 300,000+(copies of Mario) sold in less than a month already! Thats pretty good. I think $150 is gonna stay like that for awhile. M$ would just kill itself more if it dropped hte XBox to $150. Sony might do another drop in the next 6-12 months or just make a PS2Lite that doesnt have the DVD Movie playing capabilities and sell that for $150 or less. |
