It's called "Freeloader" and let's you play overseas games on ANY GC console.

So u can play PAL games on an NTSC GC and vice versa!

Well today is the day. *waits patiently*

GameMaster 09-06-2002 01:33 AM

So, you got the Japenese versions? Why not just wait for the version formated for you?

Joeiss 09-06-2002 06:57 PM

Probably because they come out much later.

bobcat 09-06-2002 11:15 PM

Well as expected the "Freeloader disc" has been delayed AGAIN till Early next week.

I sent them an email saying if there is one more delay, I would like a full money refund.

Simple.

Stupid idiots they r

it sux becuase you live in aus that you get games late, but you guys have the cool japanese cars that we don't get... like the isuzu gemini.

This Freeloader thing looks very useful. Just one question about it. If I buy an NTSC Cube, and get a Freeloader, then buy a PAL game to play, will I be able to play it on my PAL TV? Or do I still have to use my NTSC TV?

Oh, there's something else. It's off topic but, will controllers and memory cards bought from England or Germany work on an American Gamecube? Is there a regional lock for those?

I'm about 90% sure that they will work on the US 'Cube. I don't think there is a region lockout. I remember reading that if you have a jap. memory card and you put it into a US 'Cube, you just have to reformat it for US usage. But I'm pretty sure you can use any controllers/mem. cards.

If your NTSC TV supports PAL playback, then no problem.

They should work fine. I use my Ps2 mem card and can save NTSC/PAL to it no problem. I think they are universal!

My NTSC TV is multi-system, but I was wondering if it would work on my PAL only Turkish TV (which has Pro-Logic Surround - that's why I want to play on it).

Thanks for the info on controllers and memory cards Bobcat and Jonbo.
