PS2 Network Adapter Incompatibility List
A small percentage of PlayStation 2 consoles may not be compatible with the newly-released Network Adaptor peripheral, according to the documentation released with the device. The manual contains a notice indicating that users with the following serial numbers on the back of their consoles may encounter problems of an unspecified nature:

Sony's little game to earn more money. These models are probably the first ones released, and since everybody rushed out to buy them, theirs are incompatible. If you send it to Sony's technical service, you could probably get it compatible, but that costs money. So more money for Sony.

do any of you know if Ps2's network adapter is compatible with AOL???
I'm considering getting a Modem either way, but if it can use AOL the wait will be a lot shorter. |
