Wouldn't it be a really good idea if they brought an improved version of Final Fantasy 7 to PS2 and make it better as in add more weapons to defeat at the end (cuz already beat ruby and emerald:D), and improve graphics and stuff, although if they did remake it, it probably wouldn't have the duplicating item glitch, that was a life saver.
Does anyone else think that this is a good idea?????

I think it'd be a pretty cool idea... like if they used fully 3D FFX graphics... some of those scenes were just cool... not just graphically, but the way the camera was all cinematic and it would like swoop above your character and look down into a dark chasm thing, and then as you get closer to the end of the bridge it swoops back down below your character just right up against the bridge and looks up at the very purty temple (I'm talkin' about the one in the calm lands, BTW... where that summoner lady is) :D

Plus they could add some neat extras and stuff and chance some things around like the RE remake...

And yeah get rid of that item duplication glitch... I gave into it! IT MADE THE GAME TOO EASY! >_<

About a year or so ago, they announced that FF 7 and 8 would be remade for PS2. I dunno if they canned the ideo or not, though. Sqaure said they had 24 games in development (this was before FFX came out) and so far, we know:

FFX International
FFXI
FFXII
KH
FFCC
FFCC on GBA
SD on GBA
Chocobo Game on GBA
FFIII on GBA
Unlimited Saga
FF 1 and 2 on PSX
..hmmm...that would leave 12 games that we dont know about yet...there is a rumour of Chrono Break..so that would leave 11..and I think theres another Square GBA game...hmmm...so thats 10..oh yeah it was FF Tactics.
So, 10 games left. Someone told me that there would be a KH2, and I think there is some sort of rumour of a Bouncer 2? :hmm:

I think it would make sense if they still have ff 7 and 8 in development for PS2...

And no, I dont have a link to the info, but I am 99% positive...I remember Square stuff pretty well....yep.

Bouncer 2? oh god, not another one. well if they remade ff7 and ff8 that would be sweet. i wonder who told you about KH2....:D

I'm actually playing FFVII again atm.

It'd be kind of weird if the graphics were improved and all that. Would their be voice acting?

I guess it'd be one of those things I'd have to wait and see.

I think they should just leave FFVII alone, I had my fun, don't want an opportunity to ruin FFVII

I don't see why people say stuff about them "ruining" a game... I mean it's not like they get rid of the original altogether... If the new one sucks, just ignore it and stick with the original... if the new one is good or better, then be happy and enjoy it :p

Although I think it's kind of a better idea to remake the BAD games...

I don't think FF8 is BAD, but maybe they could make it a lot better if they remade it...

Or what was that one Final Fantasy game that was like... weird... on Super Nintendo... something with crystals... I dunno for sure :hmm: But I heard people saying it sucked :D

The only problem is, sometimes people go like "OH COME ON DON'T REMAKE THAT! THE GAME IS CRAP!" but the thing is, if you're remaking it, you could make it a whole lot better than it used to be...

Whereas with a game that was VERY GOOD people have a bigger chance of being let down... "Oh it's not as good as the original"... they have more to live up to or whatever...

But anyways... bye now

Well, that's your opinion. Most people (including me) seem to think its the best FF game, and it is IMO.

I agree with you there. FF 8 9 and 10 werent very good IMO. And I have a feeling FF 11 might suck...They lost the FF "touch". FF6 and FF4 were VERY good... Makes me wonder how FF12 will tunr out :hmm:

i have no problems with the ff series, i think each one is just as good (if not better) than previous one. ff11 looks awesome, it better not turn out crappy. i cant wait to see FF12 at TGS. and a chrono sequel would be nice.

I don't think the FF series is getting worse...

IMO, FF2 and 3 were kinda meh...

FF7 is like the best... FF8 was Ok too... didn't play FF9... and then FF10 was also very good...

It's just all opinions... so :p to you... if they end the series, you'll end up with a lot of dissapointed people... if they keep going and you don't like it, DON'T BUY THEM...

Besides, for all you know, the next game will be the one that turns the series around and regains the "FF touch" that you think it's lost...

I liked the series up to 6. After that it slid downhill. Except 9 I liked that.

Is it just me... or is Square running out of ideas. Wow remakes of everything in the series. Wow an FF that requires a $100 adapter. Wow a Disney ad cramed into a mediocre Action RPG. Sign me up!!!!!!!!

The only Square game I have any interest in was that Baseball game they made for PS2 that let you do interleague between MLB and NPB (Japanese Baseball). That would be awesome. Plus it actually looked goregous and had the play to back it up....

*gasp*!

It just won't be the same (for me newayz).

Like if they release a sequel for a movie that had better special affects, but overall turned me off the series (hmm let me think.... I know Star Wars!!!!).

If they have voice acting and they don't get it right, that annoying voice (say of Cloud) will be in my head every time I play/think of FFVII.
Just to give you an example of a way that a remake can ruin my overall feelings of a series (for me).

Don't get me wrong they could pull it off and make it way way way better, but I am still having my doubts about it :unsure:

EIther way, I loved FFVII (first turn based RPG I played).
