Sega Soccer Slam
 

If you didn't get the Gamecube version GET THIS ONE. If you did get the Gamecube one, GET THIS ONE. This is basically the Soccer Slam VC should've released in the first place. It sports mini-games, two unlocked and what looks like two hidden, new stages, and an all new Challenge mode that allows you to mix and match the different characters to get a new members to 3 hidden teams.

Gamplay is all the same. Graphics wise it seems about the same, but a friend of mine who owned the Cube version for a short period of time claims the Xbox version has better grass textures. Or something. The only complaints I can lodge are that the hidden teams are unusable in Quest or Tourney modes. They only can be used in the Arcade mode. Other than that, its EXCELLENT. I wish Midway would make their Arcade-y sports games more like this. Its really reminscent of SNK's old Arcade games like Football Frenzy, Baseball Stars, and Soccer Brawl. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Hmm... think I should rent it? I miss my Soccer Slam. Though all I need to do is pop in the disc.

Yeah, if anything rent this version. The bonus stuff is definately worth a look and it isn't too tough to unlock. I spent a good 2-3 hours last night getting the teams unlocked last night. The mini-games are pretty good too. There's a Powerstone for super coma morons fighting game, and a pretty good "Hot Potato" that has you holding onto a bomb for prolonged periods of time.
