Ok, I might as well get the ball rolling with some of my opinions.

Name: Please post any suggestions. I'm thinking it should be more military-based, since this is SOCOM after all.

Activity: If this becomes anything like GTRAC, I'll be pissed. We need to play often. Scheduled games is a possibility.

Skill: I personally think we should boot people if they're not good. I mean, if they play offline a lot and are getting better, I wouldn't boot them. But if we get people joining who play rarely, and they suck, I really don't see a reason to keep them around. Our stats will be tracked, we will get points, but it will really look like we suck if we keep losing cause someone only plays once a week.

Rank: I personally think there should be some sort of ranking system. I'd be happy with just some leaders. It's a team based game, and people may disagree on strategy. But we can't have one guy decide to go do his own thing, and the rest of the team follows anothers plan. We should have leaders who can give an order, and have everyone follow it. Not like a leader shouldn't take the advice of someone else, but we still need people who can keep things in line.

Positions: I'm 110% against always playing the same position. I think we should have people playing different positions in each game, but keep it rotated, make sure everyone is good at everything. I think we should all be able to snipe, go on offense, or defense, etc.

Members: All we got right now is gekko, stu, joeiss. We need what, 8 or 9?

That's all the stuff I have on my mind right now.

I'll join, no doubt. But unless the tree in my backyard is a money tree then I won't have this game until next year. (prolly around May). But we will see, I might be able to get it before then.

Good ideas, gekko. I too think that we should be able to kick people out if they are no good. I, personally will be playing this game alot... Like at the very least an hour a day (both online and offline), so if I am crap at the start, I think I will improve very fast.


And I like the idea about a leader... That would be cool. Kinda like a general, in real life terms. :)

So, I'm up for anything. Scheduled games, tournaments, whatever. I just want to play this game, lol.

I'm not too familiar with military terms. I know you are, gekko, so suggest some names and we can vote on them.

8 players per team. We don't NEED 8...but that would be ideal. Where are we going to find the other 4 or 5 people tho?

We should recruit people.... Lets make it mandatory for everybody North America to play SOCOM online. Who wants to start sending out the forms?

Hmm... names. Not easy to come up with.

Some ideas:

Greenfaces/Green Faces/The Green Faces -- me not really sure on formatting. Anyway, in Vietnam, SEALs were known to the enemy as "the men with green faces" because they always wore green and black camo on their face, and they really didn't know who they were. Now we won't always be wearing jungle camo in the game, but still. It's a name, it has a story.

You could rip off the name of Tom Clancy's book and go by Shadow Warriors.

My thoughts so far.

How about....... Umm....... Silent Steppers? Because.. We will be very quiet and sneaky? Yeah..

I like the Silent Steppers name, Joeiss. And Shadow Warriors is cool too, hmm...how about "Death Warriors" ...Lol, I'm not good at making names....well something to do with "Death" would be cool.

cool, i'm in. shadow warriors is cool, or how about "DarkMaster's Amazing Squad of Cool Guys"? now thats a name!!

I think that we should have a primary 8 players, and then have like an "extra" or alternate player if one of us cannot show up for a game.

Well, how is it going to be setup? I read in EGM that you can create a clan by entering a name, and selecting a badge, and then invite other people to join it.

If that's how it will work, then all we can really have are active players.
