A SNES classic gets an Advance makeover - prepare for Alien Wars

Konami have released 12 new screen shots of the rather tasty looking Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX. Originally a classic SNES game called Super Probotector (Contra III: The Alien Wars in the US), the action was fast and furious as you took on wave after wave of alien scum.

It’s fondly remembered for the frenetic twin play as you and a mate took it to the enemy and also for huge screen filling bosses. Oh, and it was rather hard in places...

We’re happy to report that judging from the screen shots, this GBA revamp looks every bit as good as the original. Even better news comes in the form of rumours that it isn’t simply a port of the old game but new features will be in there too. Released November 2002, whether you go it alone or team up with a mate, the alien wars begin and there’ll be scum to frag!

Ah...another Nintendo classic resurrected. :D I remember playing the original with my friends. I love co-op games. All those cool gun upgrades. :D

It's a 'Konami' classic (On a nintedo system if that's what you meant). :D
