Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Megadrive - 1992)
Sonic CD (Sega CD - 1993)
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (Megadrive - 1994)
Sonic & Knuckles (Megadrive - 1994)

source: newtechnix

Hmmm... Sonic 1-Knucks owned. Sonic CD was l33t. Sonic 3D Blast was on Saturn? I got it for Genesis. Sonic R was fun. Sonic Shuffle... ehh. Sonic Drift... weird. I got Sonic Drift 2 for Game Gear, that game is major ownage. But it'll be interesting seeing how Game Gear graphics look on the big screen.

Where's Spinball damnit!!! And what about Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine?

Jason1 07-03-2002 11:09 PM

WOW, sounds impressive. I remember I had song drift 2 when I had my Game Gear, that game kicked major arse...

Jonbo298 07-03-2002 11:31 PM

Sounds pretty good.:D

Xlinx 07-03-2002 11:33 PM

Spin Ball is on Sega Smash Pack 1 for the GBA...

As for this game I think I'll take an emulator and some roms over a 50 dollar investment any day...

There were no Sonic game on the Master System to my knowledge. I believe the first was the one for the MegaDrive.

Anyhow, I think the collection is all fine and dandy. I never played the Sonic Jam game so I'm wondering how do they handle the lock on technology thingy between Sonic and Knuckles and the other games.

Some additions I wouldn't mind

-The ability to play as Shadow even if mere cosmetic.I mean he has on shoes , the different color Super form and the whatnot. Doesn't even have to fit into the plot.

-Maybe some more multiplayer options like they had in the later games on the MegaDrive maybe even four player races.

-Inclusion of Mario and Shadow in Shuffle (Even if a dream)

-Updated graphics maybe make a few levels in pseudo 3d for an added bonus.

-More boss battles

-The ability to get Hyper Sonic in the earlier games.

Sonic The Hedgehog (Megadrive - 1991)

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Megadrive - 1992)

Sonic CD (Sega CD - 1993)

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (Megadrive - 1994)

Sonic & Knuckles (Megadrive - 1994)

Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn - 1996)

Sonic R (Saturn - 1997)

Sonic Shuffle (Dreamcast - 2000)

UN-CONFIRMED: Sonic Drift (Gamegear - 1995) (gekko, screenshot says 1994)

They better still let you combine Sonic & Knuckles with the other games.

And I too wish Sonic Spinball and Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine were added. Use to play spinball a lot (big fan of video game pinball) and just recently got into Puyo Puyo.

Yeah I think there should be a Shadow-type add on thingy exactly like with Knuckles in 1-3 but also make him playable in S&K. And if they're feeling really giddy, Rouge too. I think Amy's moveset would be too much for them to add into the games though, with the whole Piko hammer and all.

And for Sonic Drift I think they should update the graphics to that of the racing in SA2.

That is another thing I would ask for. Can they please make it the longer legged version of Sonic which is more common in Adventure 2 and Shuffle? I don't I think it looks better buit it's just me.

I also say that you should be able to play as certain characters for other games like Tails in part 1 and 3d Blast.

I also say they should spruce up the boiss battle to give them that extra flkair. You know like make the boss battle in psuedo 3d or something to differentiate from the normal level. Maybe even re-do the plot to get an overall plot like the existance of Tails, Knuckles and Shdow before they were introduced in the series.

Or animated cut scenes in between levels...

Shadow_Link 07-05-2002 09:44 AM

BreakABone, that's really funny, since I have Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 for my master system layed out right in front of me. :D. If you don't believe me, then don't, but I assure you 101% that they do exist.

I did hear though that the master system sonics were mere ports of the mega drive versions, if that even makes sense .

Drunk Hobbit 07-05-2002 09:46 AM

Doobie doobie doo

Thanks for the confirmation Danny :D.

If anyone has played those 2 games, they would know that those games deserve to be in the mega pack...

Same here. Maybe when it gets cheap.

TheGame 07-08-2002 12:21 PM

The funny thing about those SMS Sonic games, they don't seem to be on mank Sonic history sites... and every place (that I've seen) call Sonic 1 for genesis the "debut" of Sonic.

Also, those covers look oddly familliar to the Game Gear Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 covers.

Were these games not released in the states or somthing?
