NBA: Post your 02/03 Predictions
who do you think has a chance of snapping the lakers' 3 year winning streak? why?which teams will improve the most?
who will fill the top 4 of each conference? things like that... i think the top four will go like this east--------------------------west Chicago----------------------Lakers Toronto----------------------Sacramento Boston-----------------------Houston Philadelphia-----------------Dallas (btw thats not in order) and i think sacramento will win it. |
I know chicago is going to be good sometimes in the future but maybe not next year... maybe 2 or 3 years from now when all of their high school players get some more NBA expeireince and when Jay williams has time to adjust to the NBA... assuming that chicago is going to get him....
Im not sure if Yao Ming is going to be good... hes just so skinny.. he needs to gain some weight... |
4 peat!
I think newjersey may make it back again, and Sacramento will try harder no doubt. |

I dunno.. i just dont see it happening :p |
East :
Toronto Boston Philadelphia Orlando West : Las Angelas Houston Sacramento Dallas Houston is gown to be amazing this upcoming season, that is if they get Yao Ming. This guy is amazing. He is 7'5, 298 pounds and can shoot treys!!!   I am going to be very surprised if he flops in the NBA. And with Steve Francis, Eddy Griffin and possibly Glen Rice in the middle of the season, this team will be hard to beat. |
w00t!
Go Celtics :sneaky: :jk: |

The Nets were the most underrated team all through out the 2001/2002 season. Even though they had the best record in the eastern conference. No one thought they'd make it to the finals either. Tsk, tsk... :nono: If the Nets can get one more good player (hopefully a center) then I'd say they'll be in the finals again. Too bad the Nets can't get Yao Ming! :( |

Plus Shaq had no kind of shot, couldn't shoot free-throws, and couldn't run.... but he sure could break a backboard :p I'm sure Ming will develop into one of the best centers of all time. and uh... I'm a Houston fan, and I still believe they have a long way to go before they crack the top 4 in the playoffs. Here's my player by player anylist on this team (assuming they get Ming) *Yao Ming-C- This season he must prove that he has defence, ball controll, and a more deadly outside shot thanWebber/Divac *Maurece Taylor-PF- If he recovers from his injury good, he should be able to put up 10-16 points per game easy Eddie Griffin-PF/SF- If he keeps working on the 3 point shot like he did this last season, he can be a huge wild card for this team. Like Horry of the Lakers, he would be extremly dangurous to be left open on the inside, and mildly dangerous on the outside. His defence is abouve average for a PF. **Steve Francis- Hopfully he doesn't have a bad year with Migranes... and hopfully he can just stay generally healthy. He is probably the biggest offencive point gaurd threat in the leauge. Cutino Mobley- I don't know what to say... except, let's hope Francis stays healthy because he averages 22ppg with francis, and 16 w/o francis. **Glen Rice- The most incosistant player I have ever seen play, hopfully he has an "on" year Moochie Norris- Next to Van Exel (from the Mavricks) he is the best back up point guard in the leauge (*= didn't play last season, **= played last season but had injuries) oh... and enough with my fanboyish jibberish My Predictions: East: Unpredictable :p West: Kings Spurs Lakers Rockets |
I predict the Lakers are going to 5-peat, but lose to Sacremento in the semi-finals 3 years from now. But I'm from L.A., so my prediction's not all that reliable.
