Xbox One Drops Kinect and The Price
Microsoft just announced they will be offering a Kinect-Less Xbox One (in addition to the Kinect version) starting at $300 bucks in June.
Not only that, but they are also dropping the requirement of needing Gold to access entertainment apps like Netflix and Hulu http://news.xbox.com/2014/05/xbox-de...g-more-choices |

But but... the XB1 was designed around Kinect, it wasn't even possible to ditch it!
Silly MS. :P |

Still feel like they're fighting an uphill battle. The general consensus among people seems to be that the PS4 is a more powerful system than the Xbone, so people will want more for their money. I'm not sure how widespread that belief is beyond avid internet gaming fans, though.

And while no one will debate that the Ps4 isn't the stronger console, I think this Fall will be most important in the narrative. Really depends on what they offer uniquely. I don't see a single player only game in The Order and Drive Club doing much, but MS line-up is just Sunset Overdrive right now. E3 is gonna be exciting |

At any rate, I already have the Xbone and actually yell at my kinect every now and then. It makes some things easier, but not $100 worth of easier. |
Re: Xbox One Drops Kinect and The Price
Sunset Overdrive looks so neat, but not neat enough for me to buy an Xbox. I do wish it was coming to both consoles though.
And yeah, I'm really excited for E3 this year. |
