Are PC gamers the lesser intelligent gamers?
 

Well, yes they are! They only talk about graphics and specs and how computers are superior to consoles and everything bad is console's fault.

If a game is too easy, it's not because it was made that way to achieve mass appeal, it's because it was made for console players who are not as hardcore as them. Screw Xbox live, it has a whole lot of trolls and idiots because that's what console gamers are. PC, of course has way less idiots. Of course, the pc population is way smaller because PC has been struggling in sales because of how cheap the pc gamers are and how the piracy rate on the platform dwarfs the one on consoles. So they get (well deserved) bad ports and not many people buy them. And lets not take WoW into account because then you'd realize the idiots percentage is the same on both consoles and PCs.

Crysis 2 is a piece of crap game... because it was developed for consoles too! No longer do I have the privilege of having a game that my latest $500 cards is struggling with. If it was developed for consoles, you're holding the industry back! And don't tell me the gameplay was good, it was linear which makes it crap! The first one was a sandbox game which is better and I'll make a thread about how Crysis 2 and graphics in general at least once every month because this truth has to be exposed. Also, if a game gets good reviews but I don't like the graphics, it'll be the first thing I point out in the first thread I see about the game. Man Skyrim could have looked so much better. For a high budget game it looks pretty crappy. Also, it was made with controllers in mind which means that I can't use every single key there is in my keyboard which makes the game suck. I can do everything the game was designed with in mind but it could have done so much more... like... I don't know, have a whole lot more stuff. I just know it is no good if the game can be played fine with a controller, because that's limiting.

Yes, this is the way the average PC player thinks and I have been exposed too much to it. Common sense doesn't work with them and the best you can get from them is to stop posting in the thread, backing out but keeping the same attitude. I just with they could be eradicated from the face of the earth. I just had to vent that frustration, they represent everything wrong with the audience these days.

Sorry if you're a PC gamer, it's not all of them, Just most of them. I'm tired of reading comments like that in PC forums. My friend used to tell me PC gaming was full of idiots and I didn't know it was this bad.

I'm not. Console all the way, unless it's for some Civ or TW.

I like to play games on both my PC and consoles. Is this allowed?

Also, I believe FPS's control better on PC. Does this make me a PC loving idiot? Possibly.

No, it doesn't. You missed the point. I love both, my consoles and PC. And I agree with the statement about fps and many pros can be found about games on computers. I'm upset with the predominating train of thought that pc gamers have and how elitists they are. This is not a prejudice but a generalization. I'm not saying all the marbles in the jar are of one color, just that that color has the highest chance of being the one you end up with.

And Typhoid, I have just been reading constant genuine rants about how consoles are bad and destroying the game industry and how console players are just ignorant and it's too much. Left field is the only place to be for me, right now. I just can't stand reading another comment about how Crysis 2 sucked because it was made for consoles and could have been much better.

While I don't agree with the question posed, I don't think a person's intelligence factors into their gaming preferences.

I do believe that certain castes of gamers snub their noses at others for being a "lesser" experience than their pure and holy type of gaming.

Yeah, PC gamers can be obnoxious, but I doubt that ratio is any greater than those that rant their love of their console of choice. There are loud, obnoxious, self-righteous people of all opinions. And most of them find their niche community on the internet, so they can all chant their rants over and over until they foam at the mouth. To be fair, I think everyone gets all self-righteous and obnoxious about some silly thing at some point or points in their life.

Ah god it's like comments at the end of news articles. Every time I scroll down to the bottom I tell myself I won't read them and then regret reading them. 30 minutes later I am still regretting reading them. I like to think that it's a bunch of 40, 50+ adults who are "coming of age" finally on the internet and are going through the internet flame war phase that most of us who grew up on the internet grew out of a decade ago.

I think FPS's are better on console, not that ive played much on computers, but id like to be able to walk in a full circle rather than an octagon. The main thing PCs have on FPSs over consoles is that they can allow for more players in a game. Other than that ill take my triggers over your stinky mouse clicks any day.
