Official sony ericsson gaming phone thread
So unless you were under a rock last night you should have seen a teaser for this phone during the super bowl. It's been leaked for a while now, but it's real now for sure.

Re: Official sony ericsson gaming phone thread
And yes I realize the phone has an actual name, but thought this was much funnier for a thread title. It's early, sue me.

Re: Official sony ericsson gaming phone thread
I just got an iPhone, but I sincerely hope this does well. I want to see some real competition in the smart phone market by the time my 2 year contract is up, especially in terms of games offered. I'd love to either see this or Windows Phone be great by then.

Re: Official sony ericsson gaming phone thread
I already have a Sony Ericsson, and have no desire for a newer phone.
I hate the whole smart phone/touch-screen phone thing. People spend entirely waaaaaay too much time on their phones doing various piles of nothing, rather than paying attention to the things that are actually going on around them. I was at a bar on Tuesday, and no less than half of the people in the bar had their heads down constantly, with a dull, expressionless look on their face, tapping their tiny little screens. Even on Saturday, I was hanging out with Dylan, and while we were watching SNL, the entire time he was playing some no-doubt crappy phone game on his phone, or wasting time on the internet. People are becoming too disassociated with the shit that's actually happening around them, just because they want a phone that removes the luxury of a home computer with the internet, and replaces it with a tiny, tiny, portable version of a computer with the internet. I'm amazed all of the people who lose reality constantly on their touch-screen phones these days didn't kill themselves before the invention of touch-screen phones, and I'm equally as amazed they didn't carry around their laptop everywhere and alienate the people around them with it - because I find that just as silly as not paying attention to the world around you just to look at the internet on a phone when you're out at a social gathering, or in some type of social setting. |
