Re: Favorite Live Performances
This is ridiculously hard. I love live music more than nearly anything and everything. I could put up countless Foo Fighters/Zeppelin/QOTSA/Nirvana shows that I think are fantastic, but that would be boring, so I'll stick to three that I usually fall to when I'm in need of a live music fix.
And if anyone hasn't seen The Doors Live at the Hollywood Bowl, I posted pretty much the entire thing. Because I love it. I love this live version of Wolf Like Me: Anything Danko Jones does: The Doors Live at the Hollywood Bowl. |
Re: Favorite Live Performances
Just listened to Cadillac.
I am now a Danko Jones fan. |
Re: Favorite Live Performances
You have no idea how much that pleases me.

Re: Favorite Live Performances
"Full of Regret" is a hell of a song too, and radio friendly. I'm surprised I haven't heard it more.

Re: Favorite Live Performances
Not to turn this into a Danko-only thread, but he/they have a lot of 'radio friendly' songs, which also rock at the same time. They've been around for 15 or so years, and have 7 albums, 3 EP's, some vinyl exclusives, and 2 Greatest Hits albums. If you ever get the chance to see him live, you should definitely take that chance. Me and Dyne have seen him about 4 times - and I'm seeing him again in a couple weeks. He puts on one of the most entertaining performances I've seen - his persona is what puts the live show over the top.
If you want more songs you should check out by him, check out: -Bounce -I'm alive and on fire -Rock Shit Hot -My love is Bold -Soul on Ice -Love is Unkind -I want you -Strut -Wait a minute -The Cross -We Sweat Blood -Sleep is the enemy -RIP RFTC -My Problems (Are your problems now) -My Time is Now |

Re: Favorite Live Performances
Ahem, my posts were all from concert films or television performances.
|
Re: Favorite Live Performances
And my Doors post (the one I wanted to really post initially) was also from a now-DVD performance.
totally correct forum. ;) |
Re: Favorite Live Performances
I think I've posted this before, but I was here when this happened and it is one my greatest musical experiences ever

Re: Favorite Live Performances
From the concert DVD, The Link Alive:
One of the most talented metal bands performing these days....this is just a great raw, stripped down performance. |
