The Spike VGAs
 

Sadly, this is the biggest (and really only mainstream) video game awards show, and it airs tonight.

Most people think the awards are a joke since they are more based on popularity than actual value, but it is a great show to see the hottest games for the next year, and this year shall be great.

We know the World Premiere of Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Bioware's new game, some zombie game, sadly Gears of War was pulled this morning.

So... Red Dead Redemption took GOTY, yet it wasn't even nominated for Best 360 Game, lost Best PS3 Game and lost Best Action/Adventure Game.

It was neat seeing some of the previews (yay Elder Scrolls V!), the actual content and character of the awards show was disappointing. It was as cheesy and sexist as I imagined.

I will say that the altered reality effects were amazing, though. That was some impressive stuff.

Also liked NPH.

The fact that Sam Worthington was nominated for best voice completely invalidated the entire thing - he sounds terrible in Black Ops.

Good to see I'm not the only one who has a problem with this.

You literally say there was a better game than our Game of the Year in two different categories, this isn't even like the Oscars, where you have like best score or best actor/actress, you point blank said that Assassin Creed Brother Hood and God of War 3 were better games than RDR, and it wins?

Oh and the award show is awful, honestly I watch for the trailers, but out of 30 categories only 7 were given out on air, and the humor catered to the lowest form of mankind.
