The Sonic 4/Sonic Colors Thread
 

So the blue hedgehog has 2 games coming out in the next month and a half.

The first is an episodic downloadable title for PSN/XBLA/WiiWare and will be 3 episodes. The first one comes out October 11th-13th (all three services update on different days) and will go for 15 bucks.



The other is a full retail release for the Wii, in the vein of Sonic Unleashed. It comes out at the end of Nov.



Both at this stage look promising so how will Sega screw the pooch?

Played Sonic 4 at PAX and it was awesome. Lock-on screwed me up a bit, and will take a little getting used to, but otherwise it's exactly what you would expect. I will say this though, the game looks terrible on the Wii.

I haven't played a Sonic in the last 10 years, but I think Sonic Colors looks pretty sweet.

Is Sonic Colors and Sonic 4 the same game?

I haven't played since Sonic Advance 2...so when exactly did dr Robotnik become dr Eggman?

Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors are 2 different games.

Sonic 4 is supposed to continue the line from the Genesis series.

Where as Sonic Colors serves as a spiritual successor to Sonic Unleashed.

As for Dr. Eggman, I believe he first got that name in Sonic Adventures on the DreamCast

Multiplayer looks like a mix of Let's Tap Runner and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Oh and that first movie is "Super Sonic Galaxy!"

So been trying Sonic 4 and something just seems off about the whole game

The music isn't that memorable and sounds like junk compared to the other games. And his speed is weird, he doesn't gain speed instantly, but has to build it up over some time which wouldn't be so bad if not for the segments where you have to slow down or memorize the level layout.

That's why I never liked Sonic games that much.
