I posted about this in the pre-e3 thread, but here's a demo of it from the showfloor it looks a lot better than I thought.

If they mapped the controls so that deking and everything else would play out on screen as it should based on what direction the player is facing/speed/acceleration then they'd have a badass hockey game. The visuals are adequate. They could do it too, like zelda with the sword. They just have to match it with the ice-momentum that defines the nature of hockey. I haven't played any serious vg hockey since nhl 98. I have a feeling based on the gameplay shown that this is just another waggle waste.
