Split Second
 

Is any of you getting this game? I just pre-ordered it. I'm not a person who pre-orders arcade-ish videogames normally, there are only two I've ever pre-ordered: Hydro Thunder for the Dream Cast and now this game. The game looks gimicky but fun. If anyone is getting the PS3 version, let me know.

I guess you will have to wait a bit, but the demo did drop on XBL yesterday and I had a chance to check it out.

As far as arcade racers go, I'm heavily leaning towards Blur at the moment, but I think more so the fact the demo doesn't really tell you anything.

Its a single race with one car. And no multiplayer

I'll go check PSN see if they have it. Blurr is like a Mario Kart but with real cars. I know the formula works in Mario Kart but I think it has to do with the cartoonish style of the game. I'll check it out too anyways.

I know what you mean, there is something slightly off on Blur, but it is still fun and the leveling up system adds an element to it as well.

As for videos, there is usually an embed link on Youtube, just copy/paste it into the window.

The demo finally hit the PSN store! I played it and it's a rather nice game but the demo is just one race and offline, too short. It was fun anyways.

Ok. The game got an 8.5 from IGN and so far I'm agreeing with many things they said. It is a great game and the only thing I'm finding a bit unpolished is that the roads can be a bit confusing at times. The music isn't growing old though. If anyone gets this game on PS3, make sure to let me know and we'll play online.
