KFC introduces the Double Down

Normally, I would just post this picture in the image thread and call it a day.

But then I realized that the context makes things oh so much worse.

Quote:

Last August, we wrote about the "Double Down," a mysteriously tempting (and potentialy lethal) new food item being tested by KFC. For those coming late to the story, it's bacon and cheese sandwiched between two pieces of fried chicken. And now, many months later, I'll finally be able to get my hands on one.

KFC announced the decision to go live with the Double Down yesterday, but we weren't sure they weren't playing a April Fools gag. But no, they truly are going nationwide with the delicacy on April 12.

I just don't even know what to say about this. Are there people in America who actually think that looks appealing? I'll happily admit that I like a piece of fried chicken now and then, but I like it just by itself. Not combined with cheese and bacon. How are you supposed to taste 11 herbs and spices that way?

If I see anybody actually eating this thing, I'm going to pull out my sword to chase them down. Running slowly so that I never actually catch up to them for a few hours.

First one to find the nutritional facts on this beast wins.

I'll post my analysis if I can find the numbers.

I would like to propose the "Double Down Premium Health Insurance Tax Increase Plan" to save our health care system.

Will that be taxed at a higher or a lower rate than tanning beds?

Actually, I think the Double Down will save a lot on healthcare costs. When people die of massive heart attacks it costs nothing. They're dead. A normal hamburger is just bad enough to put you on medication for blood pressure and cholesterol. Thats expensive.

In all honesty, though, I've seen a lot worse. Look at nutrition info for a burger from a chain restaurant like Chili's or Ruby Tuesdays. They run well over 1,000 calories for just the burger.

Yeah, this thing actually isn't bad if it's the only thing you eat for the meal.

It's just the concept of it that's really odd and disturbing. :lolz:

This is a great idea if you can't afford a gun or a rope.
