Is myspace dead?
 

Is it? I don't see as much activity there as I used to. And now facebook is overflowing with people. I have never been a great fan of social networks but I prefered using myspace for two reasons:
1) I hate those stupid games that facebook have and the millions of applications.
2) It lets you customize your page. Some times people make a wonderful mess with this option but it lets you know the part of that individual's personality without having exchanged one word with them before.

Anyways, I use facebook but I would rather have my friends on myspace. Is this only me or is it the absolute status quo for everyone?

Never joined but I still use it to sample bands and find out tour dates.

As annoying as MySpace can look I hate the strict restrictions of Facebook. Reuse to use it.

I always hated MySpace because my friends would just make the most offensive and computer resource hogging pages. I had one friend where none of us could load her damn page due to the number of crap she put on it.

With that said, Myspace has been dead since the emergence of Facebook. I personally preferred the cleaner interface which over the last few years has gone down the drain.

Dead but not gone. Tons of local bands rely on it to survive. If facebook could re-add all that add-in crap, bands could start having songs play on Facebook too.

It kinda sucks. We have 40,000 fans (probably many fake profiles) as a band on Myspace, but only 1,700 on Facebook. So we kind of have to keep using Myspace even though I hate using it. 99% of comments and messages we get are trash.

www.myspace.com tells me the site isn't dead.

The real question is do you SELL YOUR SOUL when you make a Facebook? And by sell your soul I mean do you whore out your information/identity to corporations.
